View, CA Lines: 19 It appears our 750 cannot postnews properly, so I am sending from ames-lm. We cannot say anything public about C-2 performance. Cray is certainly listening to this net. The manuals for the Japanese machines are available and a limited number are written in English. [Have you given any thought to learning Japanese?] I have manuals to the Fujitsu VP-100/200. Just contact them. They have impressive machines. You can probably try to get C-2 manuals in the near future (try 1 year?). Cray is well aware of performance differences. Consider all those machines in various families which have some performance overlap. I don't defend the C-2, but I don't throw rocks either (anymore). A lot depends on the C-2 beyond the survival of Cray Research. --eugene miya NASA Ames Res. Ctr. {dual,research,hplabs,hao}!ames-lm!statvax!eugene
