This one seems to have been out on the market for quite a while, since I remember list prices in the $900 range when it first appeared. One of the local "goodie" shops is now selling it for $399, and I was wondering how it compared to, say, the SLP 8 that I've seen priced at the same level in postings within this group. Having auditioned this unit informally, I think I can live with it, and it does look nice ("Look, Martha! We got us another live one..." :-). Seriously, though... is there something considerably better in a CD player in this price range, or should I go for it? Thanks in advance. Bob Tracy AT&T Technologies, Inc.
