Lines: 11 One caveat about the original Carver Amp (the M-400) is that it has a very low power factor under certain conditions. What this means is that the amp has a substantial current drain (although the power consumption is fairly reasonable since the current is out of phase with the voltage). Since the power consumption is low, it won't do much damage to your electric bill, but the high current drain can do nasty things like blow house fuses. Also, Carver amps invert the phase of ONE channel, so you can't connect the two "ground" terminals together at the speaker outputs. Bill Mitchell Bellcore (whuxj!wjm)
