Directly into the cylinders? Would be nice, but not trivial to do. The injectors would have to handle temperatures of over 1000 degrees F, and pressures in the 150 psi range. And not fail due to deposits. You also need a fuel pump that does well over 150 psi. "Normal" port fuel injection injects not into the cylinders, but just ahead of the cylinders. The injector sprays towards the back of the intake valve. Life is a lot easier for the injectors, and the fuel pump needs to put out 'only' 50-80 psi. "dual port injected" ??? what's that? "Carburetors? Ve don't need no steeenking carburetors!"
