Try this reason:

	The vans are hard to get because they have big engines with
	lower gas mileage.  The companies must keep the CAFE ( Corporate
	Average Fuel Economy ) to government specs by limiting production
	on all V8 engines. 

Just my thoughs while I was looking at big cars.
