I've seen one of these jammimg/false-reading devices adevertised in a
popular motor magazine (with illegality disclaimers and warnings) -
i seem to remember the price being closer to $700 than $1500.

I have an escort which i am entirely happy with, but i'm  thinking of
remoting it because it is too visible hanging from my sun visor - a
company in MI advertises do-it-yourself kits for $99 has anyone had
any experience with these, or with their higher priced factory done
alterations?

I think the answer is *stealth* - a non-radar reflective vehicle, but
you also need some way of bending space-time to defeat vascar machines.
