I've fortunately never had to test it; my most serious accident was falling over because I got my "toes trapped". Anyway my question is this : how unsafe is a skid lid? Is it really as bad as a leather hairnet? Does anyone know of serious head injuries sustained while wearing one? Could these have avoided by wearing a full protection helmet? Please post answers to the net. I beleave there are many "skid liders" out there. All this talk about helmets has got me worried. Bob Kaires
