These people generally tear the hell out of the roads and do a pretty poor job of restoring them afterward. Most road repair work that doesn't involve completely resurfacing the road is pretty shoddy, too. I've seen plenty of potholes that were worse *after* they were "fixed". I don't know, I might be different than everyone else, in that I like to do my job well; I don't see much of that in road workers. Maybe none of them are cyclists!
