The only flat I've had was from a staple. It went right through the mesh. Recently when I wanted to pick up a couple of extra of the tires, I also had problems locating them. I finally found a supply at Bikecology in Santa Monica. I have forgotten their exact price, but as I recall they went for about $19 each. They usually have an ad in BICYCLING for their number.
