Is still in print in both hard and soft cover and very likely to be found in
used book stores as well.  The publisher for all of T. S. Eliots stuff in the
US is Harcourt Brace & Javonovich (tch?).  There have been a number of
editions.  In England, the publisher is (naturally) Faber and Faber.

It is a set of verses (light, delightful and rather isightful into the joys
of cats) written by Old Possum (ie T. S. Eliot) and they have always been
published as a set of verses in book form.  There are no essays or other
extraneous things like serious poetry. 

The musical cats is not based on OPBOPC, it is (plus a few extra bits)
OPBOPC.  Old Possum probably is still laughing at get a Tony for his light
verse.

Enjoy - they are marvelous bits of light verse.
