I have a dark, fast-growing beard that only looks good if I use a blade. Electrics leave me with a dark shadow at noon. By growing a beard and trimming once a week, I save at least ten minutes a day. Btw, I recommend shaving in the shower. The beard is softer and gives a closer shave. Of course it takes some practice w.o. a mirror.
