I recall that the last time I tried my hand at a potato salad, I cooked the potatoes too long (about as long as I might cook them for mashing, for example) and wound up with a very mushy potato salad. My question is this: what is the recommended cooking time for potatoes to be used in potato salad? I could experiment, but since I don't make potato salad that often, that could take forever.
