("Why do I see piles of cigarette butts in parking lot stalls?") And I got to thinking: I hardly ever have to empty my car's ashtray. That's not surprising, I don't smoke, and I don't let people smoke in my car. I don't even like people who smoke to breathe in my car, it gets slime all over the windows and smells disgusting. It took me a while to come to the realization these losing cigarette addicts smoke 20 or 30 or 40 cigarettes a day! Can you believe it? That's a lot of butts. So that's why you see the little monumental piles in every parking lot. I'm so detached from cigarette-smoking circles that the thought of THAT MANY butts was pretty shocking to me. What a moronic habit. (You have to be pretty funky to see the transcendental beauty of this netnews item...) Andy Tannenbaum Masscomp Inc Westford MA (617) 692-6200 x274
