It's been a heckuva long time (at least since the inception of
net.music.classical) since I've seen such rabid comments on both sides.  If
this is the atmosphere created by real estate in California, I'm glad you
people live down there and not up here in the wilds of Washington & Oregon
[insert Mounties, bears and Wild Rainiers singing the theme to "Davy
Crockett"].
 
I mean, when did these attitudes start?  I never remember seeing anything
like this outside of "The Big Valley" episodes....
