A propos diskettes, but not related to the topic in any other way.....

At my last company, my boss's mother-in-law was keen to get into the computer
act with the rest of the family, "Oh yes, we've got a computer atwork, too."
she said, "It uses fluffy disks..."

Meanwhile, the managing director, a stickler for precise english, launched
a competition for a name for these disks, other than diskettes (which he
abhored) and floppies which he thought was even worse.
