Have someone else record it for you. That way it sounds more like an answering service than an answering machine. Anyone can do it, a friend, someone with a good voice. I'm sure someone you know would be flattered to do it for you. I have also seen prerecorded tapes with messages. Some are serious, some have imitations of famous people's voices, some are jokes.
