We would set up deliveries so that when the sector update occurred for the attack, the sector would lose at least half its mobility. This usually was enough ( along with the defending forts ) to slow down greedy landgrabbers while you were on vacation. If were caught in a two- front scrap with the neighbors, all you had to do was a mov b x,y 0 in each sector you wanted to drain the mobility, thereby shutting down advances on one front. I forgot to mention in the article yesterday - the Old empire source amounts to just under 10K lines of code.
