A recent article was posted which affirmed the following, regarding
Rust Monsters or Aquators - 

5 Hit dice = +12 plate mail

Questions -

1) what are "hit dice"?

2) how do you know how many "hit dice" Aquators have?

3) in general, how many "hit dice" do any of the monsters have?

4) why does "5 hit dice" become the equivalent of armor class +19 ?

5) what is the source of your information ?

Thanks to those who provide helpful answers. There is apparently some
source somewhere of useful information about rogue which is not known
to many of us players.
