I have read in Byte magazine about Apple offering substantial
discounts to university faculty and students for the MacIntosh 
($900 for faculty and $1200 for students at Dartmouth).

I am an undergrad at the University of Waterloo, Canada
and I would greatly appreciate any information any one can give 
in regards to these discounts.  The MacIntosh has a $3595 list 
price in Canada and if it was discounted to say under $2000 for
students here, I'm sure that many students like myself would get
one at the first possible opportunity.
