This article is not directed at the offenders, but at those who choose to rebuke the offenders. For some reason, there seems to be a non-trivial quantity of self-righteous jerks who see the need to rebuke naive offenders with obnoxious, sarcastic letters reminding them of the wide readership of this group, the cost of long- distance telephone calls and the utter triviality of their topic. This really isn't necessary. A gentle reminder would do the job. I realize that some people gain enormous satisfaction from the belittling process, but I had hoped that most of the net citizens were more mature. Sure, I went through such a phase with my younger siblings. But, by and large, I outgrew it with the onset of puberty. ---------- Nathan Meyers hp-pcd!nathanm
