I have a ~1960 Motorola UHF Base station anchoring down one corner of
my room.  It supposedly works, has no rocks, is aligned for ~440 Mhz,
has a manual, has a self check meter to analyze all the test points,
and has enough steel and iron to make it weigh 70#.

Its free for the taking.  All you have to do is come to Berkeley and
pick it up.
