Any suggestions out there ? I have heard some bad news on the Icom R-71(A?), and I saw someone post on the net (usenet) that there has been news on another net not getting gated to usenet, true ? The ICOM would be at the bottom of my list, I have had access to a Harris 550 from time to time, nice. Now that it is no longer in production has anyone seen one on the market ? On the Icom R-71; what is this I here about remote/computer access ?, is it true, is it really there, I called ICOM and they just read me the glossies, I can do that. I asked about a service manual, the best I could get is that the preliminary version (English, I hope), might be here sometime in NOVEMBER !!@#*@)!! (didn't ask if that was 1984). What filters are there for the ICOM ? Pete Lancashire ...tektronix!tekig!petel (503)627-2566
