to all radio amateurs bt

space  shuttle  audio  from  the  sts  41d  mission   will   be
retransmitted  by  the  goddard  amateur  radio  club,  wa3nan,
beginning  approximately  one  hour  before  launch  time   and
continuing until the shuttle lands.  the launch of the discovry
is scheduled for 8 am edt on june 19.

interested persons in the washington, dc, area will be able  to
listen to shuttle communications on 147.45 mhz.  garc will also
transmit shuttle audio on a maximum of three hf frequencies  at
a  time,  using  3860,  7185,  14295, 21390 and 28650 khz.  the
primary frequency will be 3860 khz.

the retransmissions will be intermittent  as  dictated  by  the
astronauts  sleep schedule, loss of signal, los, or acquisition
of signal, aos, and wa3nan operator scheduling.

there is no amateur radio activity scheduled for  this  mission
