             ***  UNIX Software Development Engineer ***


          The HP Santa Clara Division currently has  several
          openings  for  software development engineers with
          experience in the UNIX operating system.   Working
          closely  with  related  project  teams,  you  will
          investigate and develop software for  an  advanced
          VLSI  test  system.  You will propose and evaluate
          designs  to  meet   function,   performance,   and
          development schedule goals.  In addition, you will
          design, implement,  and  test  a  portion  of  the
          software.

          A BSCS or BSEE is required, MS is preferred,  with
          a  minimum of three years' experience in analysis,
          design and implementation of real-time application
          software.  A strong background in working with the
          UNIX operating system, kernel,  or  internals,  is
          required.  Also required is programming experience
          in either C or Pascal.  Please send your resume to
