In the end, of course, the mantis met its end, but you've probably never heard what happened afterward. The city authorities wanted to chop the gigantic corpse up and make it into fertilizer. However, some entomologists wanted to study the thing. One entomologist went so far as to fling down his body in front of the mulcher.
