I have already sent them a scathing letter asking why the above anecdote (and three others in which NO LAWS WERE VIOLATED) appeared in an article supposedly about computer crime. I felt that its inclusion among tales of several serious frauds carried the insinuation "well, they weren't charged with any crime, but we think it's one anyway". Such innuendo is worthy of the National Enquirer, not a professional journal. The incident, BTW, has a "happy ending": a) McDonald's awarded a duplicate of every prize won by the students, and b) the students donated the Datsun 710 to charity. OK, I know this isn't net.flame... so here's a joke: What is a Russian trio? A quartet that toured the U.S.! Andrew W. Rogers, Intermetrics ...{harpo|ihnp4|ima|esquire}!inmet!andrew
