(A request; a flame of sorts) Message-ID: <1636@dartvax.UUCP> Date: Sun, 20-May-84 14:36:21 EDT Article-I.D.: dartvax.1636 Posted: Sun May 20 14:36:21 1984 Date-Received: Mon, 21-May-84 05:49:25 EDT Organization: Dartmouth College Lines: 21 I originally posted this to net.jokes.d, but since most readers of net.jokes seem to ignore net.jokes.d, I have decided to post this in net.jokes in order to reach the maximum number of people. There seem to be a lot of "Where men are men" and "Those who can..." jokes being posted to the net. In case you folks haven't noticed, they are incredibly repetitive (for example, all of the "men are men" jokes seem to end with the same "punch line" about sheep. Well, people, once could be considered funny, twice maybe amusing, but after thousands of tellings a joke just loses the old pizazz. I would like to request that those of you out there who are considering posting a joke *please* consider first how many thousands of minor variations on that same joke have already been posted before you contribute to the monotony. Think of how much money could've been saved in phone charges alone if "where men are men" had appeared only once! My 'n' key finger (as well as the rest of me) will appreciate your kind consideration.
