You don't have to be the butt of a joke to realize that it is offensive, and to take public issue with it. Would you make the same claim if the notorious "BLKTRAN (offensive to blacks)" joke, or something equally vile were posted, since you were secure in the fact that you weren't black? Funny how this guy's posting echos the same vile, homophobic sentiments that the original "Gay Blade" joke does. He takes the position that because the poster took issue with the joke, this stands as prima facie evidence that he is either gay or "threatened", both of which are implicitly undesirable qualities, from the text of his response.
