Texas CS Dept., Austin, Texas Lines: 16 Freedom of speech and freedom from criticism are indeed not the same, but hounding an entire organization off USENET because of what one person posted one time is something else again. This has happened. It started pretty much the same way as all this "gay blade" hassle. How about everybody take a middle ground for a change, like rotating potentially offensive jokes (what a novel idea!) instead of pre-censoring them for fear of harrassment.
