Suppose that the ROT 13 encoder is messed up on your system, as I believe it was on the "gay blade" joke? Or, suppose you are clueless (like I am) and don't know how to rotate a joke. And how do you figure out what might be offensive and what might not? I posted a joke awhile back having to do with the similarities between nuns and the soft drink "7up." I wasn't offended. I told it to a catholic friend and he wasn't offended. But how do I know that there aren't a bunch of nuns on the net who would be offended? I don't know ALL the different people on the net and what might offend whom. I think the best way is to just be more descriptive in your headers and rotate stuff that might be offensive. If you (don't know how/can't) rotate the joke, DON'T POST IT UNTIL YOU (FIGURE OUT HOW/CAN). -- Peter Merchant
