Message-ID: <7042@umcp-cs.UUCP> Date: Mon, 21-May-84 01:51:51 EDT Article-I.D.: umcp-cs.7042 Posted: Mon May 21 01:51:51 1984 Date-Received: Thu, 17-May-84 05:28:57 EDT Organization: Univ. of Maryland, Computer Science Dept. Lines: 8 We have a 4.2 unix machine and a 4.1 unix machine on the same ethernet. Big packets from 4.2 to 4.1 crash the 4.1 after a flurry of tcp checksum errors. We have turned off trailers, and the 4.2 machine can talk through the 4.1 machine as a gateway out to the world. The problem must be some sort of tcp incompatibility on large packets. Any suggestions? -- Spoken: Mark Weiser ARPA: mark@maryland CSNet: mark@umcp-cs UUCP: {seismo,allegra}!umcp-cs!mark
