The medical world has not been curbed in the same way that the Credit Investigation services have by the Federal Laws requiring that you have access to your credit file ( once per year I think). You also have the right to file a rebuttal on any "bad" items in your file. It is time we had similar protection in the Medical Investigation field. I remember a few years ago during a company physical my records were on a table in front of me. I picked them up and started reading through all the details on ME (many of which I supplied). When the nurse returned she about had apoplexy right in front of me, snatched my file, and wailed something about my reading this info as being "unprofessional". I still don't know what she was talking about. Any nurses out there care to fill me in ?? (I know..I know my company PAID for the physical, but they used invasive procedures < needles etc > to obtain some of it and put me to some inconvenience to get the info.)
