SWP, located in Arlington, Texas, started out in life by producing a
double-density upgrade for the X820-1.  (Now they are producing 8086
co-processor cards for various Z80 systems, including Morrow and Kaypro.)

If your colleagues are not getting the DEC drives to work, it may be
because they are using a cable for 8" floppies.  Xerox makes separate
parts for each drive.
