I would like to know what has to be done in order to get Modem7 to operate correctly thru an ARPANET TAC. We have a VAX/VMS system using XMODEM and I believe it probably needs some modifications in order to allow successful file transfers via a TAC. (I understand that the MODEM program for DEC-20 systems has some ARPANET code in it. Could someone explain to what that code is exacvtly? I could then try to put this into XMODEM, perhaps). Also, I believe you must set the Binary Output feature on the TAC (@B O S) and also (I think) enable flow control on the TAC. If anyone knows the exact TAC commands and/or program modifications needed to do this I would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks. _Greg Elder ------
