I am trying to translate a Basic program written for the TRS80 into Microsoft Basic, and have run into a form of notation unknown to me (and not available in Microsoft Basic, as far as I can tell). The statement in question looks like this: 100 LS(I) = SM(I) [3.5: NEXT Does anyone know what the square bracket ( [ ) signifies? Does this denote some kind of arithmetic operation? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. - Steve Dennett DENNETT@SRI-NIC.ARPA -------
