     For all the none TRASH-80 people out there.....
 The infamous square bracket ([) is poor old R*D** SH*CK ( and most compatible
printers) substitution for the up-arrow or exponentiation symbol.
 Of course it may be a true [, but in most cases it should be translated
to ** or equivalent. (for FORTRAN etc. programmers)..
