Lines: 11 <> It will be no problem to upgrade existing hardware to use the chip. A special version that is pin for pin compatible is supposed to be made. The software might be a problem. For instance, in what mode does the chip come up? (6502 or 65816)? If it comes up in 65816, you will need to modify your boot rom or something to set it to 6502 mode. But is it necessary? What is the difference between the 65816 executing the base set of 6502 instructions (also 65C02 extended) if they still use the same opcodes? Tim
