How would you like on-line access to the Encyclopedia | Britannica? | -- | Gary Levin / Dept of CS / U of AZ / I asked about this when my wife and I bought our Britannica. Sorry, folks, the Britannica is NOT ONLINE. They do the whole thing the OLD OLD way, with bizarre tapes using 5-bit punches to run arcane linotype machines, and so on. Further, the illustrations in Britannica are some of the major reasons for getting the thing, and they seem to think that these would not transfer well to an electronic medium. Oh well, staid conservatism kills another great idea. Hutch
