So they're building cards and stockpiling them until they can fill the socket where the LANCE goes. They expect these parts mid- to late-June, and hope to ship by July (probably the end of July). Pricing - in unit quantities - is in the neighborhood of $3000. Price is expected to go down, of course, but the first pioneers always get to collect the arrows.... Higher-volume pricing structure has not yet been established. Eventually Motorola will be making the LANCE chip themselves, but no mention of that project's status was made. keith ericson at teklabs
