Belated thanks to Kieth Peterson for modem64.hex and modem64.doc posted separately.
I stored it on another UNIX system 
Downloaded to C64 1541 Disk Format usingSmartterm;+.
To get it over to C64 CPM need 8080
routine to activate 6510 (in C64 CPM
manual) and then 6510 routine
to read file from 1541 format &
place it in memory at 0100-Z80, 1100-6510
then assemble it & save it on cCPM disk
format
Still looking for C Compiler -
my original reason for buying CPM option.
I've still not used cC64 CPM for antything - so far what a shameful 
waste
Can anyone help?
