I have a few DEC Rainbow microcomputers (one of which has a 5 megabyte Winchester disk). They are currently running both CP/M and MS-DOS operating systems. What I would like is some expert input as to programming languages that run on either of these operating systems. I am looking for the language which would be best able to handle (most flexibility) file I/O operations on indexed/direct (keyed) access files. Multiple-keying is much preferred.
