We recently bought a few boxes of Maxell double sided double density
floppies and found a few bad sectors on several of them when formatted 
under PC-DOS.  Is this to be expected?  Does this indicate anything
about the rest of the diskette (e.g., is it likely to develop more bad 
sectors after being used)?  Do manufacturers and/or retailers make any
sort of guarantees about the diskettes at least as far as being OK when
the box is opened?
