Message-ID: <1437@dartvax.UUCP> Date: Fri, 4-May-84 10:49:07 EDT Article-I.D.: dartvax.1437 Posted: Fri May 4 10:49:07 1984 Date-Received: Sun, 6-May-84 00:39:02 EDT Organization: Dartmouth College Lines: 22 Erik E. Fair at ucbvax!fair says that he heard a Uni-Ops talk by Dave Fylstra, formerly of SRI, on something called DeafNet, which was to be a USENET-like system for the deaf. My grandfather has a friend who is deaf that might really benefit from being a member of such a network. Erik Fair doesn't know anything more about DeafNet. Has anybody out there heard of it? I'd appreciate any information you can give, even if it's only a lead. I'll post a summary of all of the information I receive on telecommunication facilities for the deaf when all the votes are in. --Lorien Y.
