The oldest PDP-8 brochure I have is dated 12/64, while the PDP-5 brochure is dated 9/63. DEC wouldn't stoop so low as to continue to sell PDP-5's when their replacement was already announced ?! :-) I also remember seeing a PDP-8 at the IRE (pre IEEE) show in New York, most likely Spring 1964.
