Message-ID: <399@houxa.UUCP> Date: Thu, 3-May-84 14:31:21 EDT Article-I.D.: houxa.399 Posted: Thu May 3 14:31:21 1984 Date-Received: Fri, 4-May-84 04:02:32 EDT Organization: AT&T Bell Labs, Holmdel NJ Lines: 42 greetings, campers. here's a challenging (?) one that's been bugging me. the tune dates back to the mid 70's, and all I remember is the story. at one point in the song we hear a guy running, who ends up closing himself into a phone booth, gasping for breath. coins drop, the phone he's calling rings, and a voice says 'hello?'. he then screams, over a pounding beat, gimme doctor rock! give me doctor roll! he's got the {something} that satisfies my soul! scene shifts. we're listening to a very quiet hospital operating room. basic breathing and operating-y type sounds. then doctor: "nurse, scalpel please" nurse: "scalpel" d: "clamp" n: "clamp" d: "saxophone" (real jazzy sax starts toodling along) d: "vibes" (vibes join in) etc. etc. sounds very bonzo dog band style... maybe it is. (it isn't, however, the bdb tune that has all sorts of famous people joining in on various instruments) if you've got any idea, i'd appreciate hearing about it. by the way, does anyone out there enjoy kid creole and the coconuts? hmmm... maybe we need a net.music.bizarre.obscure... yours in distinct contradiction to reality, chuck podaras bellcore holmdel, noo joisey 201/949-7509 ...ihnp4!houxa!czp
