   Marvin Gaye died as a result of gunshot wounds in the head.  As of right
now it is generally assumed that his father, a christian sect preacher, fired
the gun in a family quarrel.  Gaye was taken to the hospital, declared dead
on arrival, and his father was taken into custody.
   If you want to read a more detailed description, see this week's copy of
"Rolling Stone".  I think it is no understatement to say that both the quality
of Gaye's voice and the beliefs embodied in his music will last for many
generations.
