I think it was done by one of those groups that have just one hit, and then fade away. The cover version of that number which is really cool, and pre-dates the Go-Go's version by a few years is done by Human Sexual Response (on their first album). It's worth a listen. Now for the *Question* of the day for you sixties fans: Who did the original version of "96 Tears"? (another great 'oldie').
