Lines: 13 [] Just came across this one. Sorry to answer late. The song you refer to, "Plastic Jesus", was sung lo these many years ago by Al Higgins out of New Orleans. I first heard it in the early 50s. I am looking at a copy of the lyrics from an old song book at this moment. It is a collection of folk songs from all over the world. Why this was considered a folksong I'll never know, but its there. Don't ask for the name of the book, the first and last sections are gone. This song is on page 140 of whatever book it is in. There are five verses here and the notes say that there are dozens more which are unprintable. T. C. Wheeler
