I heard (only secondhand, must be true!) about a performance
where at one point all the radios were turned down soft, and then
one radio happened to pick up a Beethoven symphony on WQXR (classical
station, new york city).  I'll bet there are many fun anecdotes about
what has happened at performances of this piece.  Not bad, for a work of
art...
