This is a real limitation, I can't run vnews, for example. If you let the number of newsgroups get too large my machine will start dumping core. As a result of that the following sites: fortune, dual, sco, onyx, resonex, visia, cae780, ubvax, megatest, pyramid, zentec and several other machines who get news from me will be unhappy. Likewise, if I cut back on some newsgroups, all the above mentioned sites will be deprived. That doesn't seem fair, does it? (I only feed fortune,dual,sco,onyx,resonex,visia,and zentec directly.
